7. Contract description
The objective of this programme is to make resource consumption more efficient in India, so as to contribute to the global agenda on sustainable consumption and production, and to promote green economy and growth. The work under this contract will be articulated in six work packages, as follows: Resource Efficiency Partnership and Panel, Mobility, Buildings, Renewable Energy, Resource Recovery from Waste, and Outreach for Resource Efficiency. The work carried out in each of these will provide elements for: a) a stock-taking of India’s current and future needs for resources; b) a strategy and an action plan for a more efficient use of key resources are established with the responsible authorities and stakeholders; and c) the promotion of partnerships for the implementation of the strategy between key Indian and European stakeholders involved in resource efficiency initiatives.
