The European Union to promote innovative technologies and investment opportunities at PDAC 2020

The European Union and EU Member States have participated at the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) Convention in Toronto, Ontario, on 1 - 4 March. The event was taking place with the support of the EU’s Partnership Instrument.

PDAC: The World’s Premier Mineral Exploration & Mining Convention is the leading convention for people, companies and organizations in, or connected with, mineral exploration. This year, more than 1,100 exhibitors, 2,500 investors and 25,800 attendees from 132 countries have participated in PDAC. The EU was represented by officials from the EU Delegation to Canada and Commission's Directorate-General for Internal Market, Industry, Entrepreneurship and SMEs. EU Member States including decision makers, industry, geological survey and universities also were present.

The EU participation in PDAC comes to reinforce its strategy to contribute to a secure, sustainable and responsible raw materials supply in Europe while promoting EU cutting-edge exploration and mining technologies as well high environmental and social standards. This is the EU’s third year exhibiting at the PDAC Convention.
