For the fifth time in Brussels, the Asia-Europe Cultural Festival brings together artists from Asia and Europe to celebrate the long-standing cultural connections between arts communities in the two regions. Under the motto “Cultures Connect” this public arts festival invites audiences in Brussels to experience dance, film and music performances by artists from Cambodia, France and Spain.

The event will commence on 26 November with the premiere of the documentary film by French filmmaker Xavier de Lauzanne “The Perfect Motion”. The film follows the creation of the show, Metamorphosis, and the history of the Royal Ballet. His Royal Highness Prince Sisowath Tesso, Director of the Royal Ballet of Cambodia and Advisor of the film, will be present at the screening.

On 27 November, renowned festival directors, producers and artists will exchange views in the public panel titled “What future for Arts Festivals?” Finally, dynamic duo, Vignesh Melwani, a singer-musician trained in Kathak theatre and dance and Carla González Ferrer, a singer-musician from Spain will perform free form improvisations with diverse musical genre influences.

The Asia-Europe Cultural Festival is co-organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in cooperation with the European Union and with the support of Casa Asia (Spain) and the Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts of Cambodia.
