Connecting cultural organisations and artists from the EU and around the world: new website launched

When cultural practitioners and artists connect, they share ideas, creativity and practices. Cultural exchanges can be a vehicle to learn from each other and to contribute to a more tolerant global society.

The Cultural Relations Platform (CRP) has launched its new website, designed as a global platform about the European Union’s external cultural relations.

The website contains information about the latest developments in the field of culture, events organised by the CRP and its training programme. It also offers an overview of all EU-funded programmes and initiatives related to international cultural relations.

The online platform servesas an information hub on EU policies, programmes and actions undertaken by the European Commission and European External Action Service regarding international cultural relations. It is also an interactive platform forcultural practitioners and artists to connect, share ideas and best practices.

Background:

The CRP promotes sustainable cultural exchanges, people-to-people activities, and co-creation processes between various cultural and creative actors from the EU and third countries. Launched in April 2020 under the EU’s Partnership Instrument managed by the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments, the CRP follows up on the previous Cultural Diplomacy Platform with a global coverage and a renewed approach based on principles of sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity.
