The EU in partnership with Internews has launched the campaign #ideachallenge2020 in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The campaign is taking place as part of the project "Strengthening Resilience to Radicalization and Disinformation in Central Asia through Independent Media" that is financed within the framework of the EU’s Instrument contributing for Stability and Peace and managed by Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI).

The motto of this campaign directed to youth is "Everything starts with the idea!” It encourages young people to share their innovative and creative ideas that can help solve the most pressing problems in their community.

The #ideachallenge2020 is supported and promoted by celebrities and influencers from the Central Asian countries, inspiring young people to share their ideas and make a change in their communities.

Young people who want to participate in the challenge will have to make a short video presenting their idea, post it on YouTube and other social media channels using the hashtag #ideachallenge2020 and challenge their friends to do the same. The best ideas will receive a grant between 10,000 and 12,000 euros to be put in place. This regional campaign will be followed by the offline forum "IdeaFest".
