Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace: Commission adopted 2015 Annual Action Programme (Article 4)

On 27 May 2015, the European Commission adopted the 2015 Annual Action Programme (AAP) for the Instrument contributing to Stability and Peace – Conflict prevention, peace-building and crisis preparedness component (Article 4).

The 2015 AAP aims to build and strengthen the capacity of the EU and its partners to prevent conflict, build peace and address pre and post-crisis needs. It encompasses seven actions: in-country capacity building of civil society actors in conflict prevention and peace-building; early warning; capacity building of the League of Arab States in crisis response and preparedness; capacity building of police services for participation in international crisis and stabilization missions; Post-Conflict and Post-Disaster Needs Assessments (PCNA/PDNA); prevention of gender-based violence and support to the Kimberley Process.
