“Little Palestine” film presented in the framework of the #SyriaConf2022

On 10 May, in the framework of the VI Conference "Supporting the future of Syria and the region”, the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments will support the projection of the film “Little Palestine”.

The movie is a diary of the daily life in the biggest Palestinian refugee camp – Yarmouk, in Damascus, Syria and its besieged inhabitants, who decided to face bombing, displacement and hunger with rallying, study, music, love and joy. Along with the Syrians who are suffering since 11 Years, this is the story of the tens of thousands of Palestinian refugees who had been living since 1948 in the Yarmouk refugee camp.

The film will be screened on Tuesday 10th of May at 19:00 at the Cinema Vendome in Brussels.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Abdallah Al-Khatib, the film maker, and Ali Atassi, the film producer. Fernando Gentilini, Managing Director of Middle East and North Africa of the European External Action Service and Matthias Burchardt, the Representative to the EU of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) will be also part of the panel.

The discussion will be moderated by Simone Susskind, founder of Actions in the Mediterranean.
