FPI support in Syria covers areas related to governance, capacity-building, land clearance and EORE. On governance capacity, FPI is supporting the newly established Syrian National Mine Action Centre (SNMAC) through UNMAS. SNMAC is receiving different forms of support, ranging from technical expertise and staff recruitment to capacity-building and advanced information management. FPI is funding an action implemented by the HALO Trust, in partnership with Mines Advisory Group (MAG) and Tech 4 Tracing (T4T), covering survey development, drone-enabled survey, AI-supported prioritisation, clearance, explosive ordnance disposal and EORE.
