This delivery is part of the assistance measure worth €31 million adopted on 15 December 2021 by the EU under the European Peace Facility (EPF).

The two buses delivered today, and an additional 12 buses delivered in February, will contribute to the improvement of the performance of the AFU. Further deliveries under the military medical component of the assistance measure have included, among others, 6 laparoscopic tower sets of monitor with laparoscopic equipment, 11 electric portable suckers, 6 high-frequency electro-surgery equipment, 13 oxygen concentrators, 24 patient heart monitors, 14 ventilation devices with turbine and the ability to connect low-flow oxygen, 11 defibrillators, 6 surgery tables, 6 portable digital X-ray machines, 50 ambulances, 27,325 first aid kits and other medical devices.

The assistance measure also provided demining equipment such as mine detectors, trailers with a container for transporting collected mines and explosives from collection to disposal sites, other demining tool kits as well as ground mobility and logistics facilities, namely off-road trucks and minibuses.

Since the beginning of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine, the EU has agreed on providing military support through the EPF to help the UAF defend Ukraine’s territorial integrity and population for a total of EUR 6.1 billion.
