Description

Since its first session held in Medellin (Colombia) in 2013, the Regional Forum has become a key gathering on business and human rights for Governments, business and business organizations, workers’ organizations, trade unions and civil society and other stakeholders in the Americas, as well as an important platform for promotion of human rights broadly in the region. The Forum has enabled exchange of information on progress and challenges regarding States’ legal, policy and institutional frameworks, corporate policies, and industry-level and multi-stakeholder initiatives. Going forward, it seeks to play an even stronger role in reinforcing existing progress in the region and supporting efforts by stakeholders to build further momentum to drive wider impact.
