General information
Working at the Commission offers a unique chance to build your career and shape Europe's future. We provide a modern workplace with excellent learning opportunities, career development, and competitive, flexible conditions.
The European Commission offers employment in various staff categories: permanent officials, contract and temporary staff, seconded national experts, trainees and others. FPI is a service of the European Commission and follows the recruitment rules of the Institution.
Permanent staff
If you are looking for a permanent position, you must first pass an open competition. The European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) manages this selection process for all EU institutions. Visit their website to find out how to apply.
Once you pass a competition, any EU institution can recruit you from the reserve list of successful candidates.
Non-permanent staff
You can apply for a fixed-term position as temporary or contract staff. Selection procedures vary depending on the staff category and type of contract.
FPI publishes its Headquarters (Brussels) Temporary and Contract Agent vacancies on the job vacancies page of the EPSO website.
Vacant Contract Agent posts in EU Delegations are regularly published here.
Vacant posts in military and civilian CSDP missions
Military and civilian missions and operations vacancies are published on the EEAS website.
