From responding to global policy needs to bolstering peace, democracy, and human dignity, the Service for Foreign Policy Instruments (FPI) of the European Commission is at the heart of putting the EU foreign policy into action, fast and flexibly, in a policy-driven and integrated approach. We help countries cope with crises and maintain peace, security, law and order. We form strategic alliances, prevent trade in conflict diamonds and in goods that could be used for capital punishment or torture, and combat international security threats.
The Service for Foreign Policy Instruments has five Regional Teams in EU Delegations around the world. It also has established a presence in Vienna and Kyiv to cover the Europe and Central Asia region.
